Consolidations

Every time you fetch subsidiary data, a consolidation journal entry is automatically created in the Multi-Company Console for each of the selected subsidiaries. Each consolidation journal summarises transactions and journal entries from that subsidiary for the selected month. These are combined into a single journal entry with consolidated debits and credits.

Insight: Consolidation journals are not created for elimination subsidiaries.

Scenario: Zylker Corp fetches data for six subsidiaries, out of which two are elimination subsidiaries. Four consolidation journals are created, one for each non-elimination subsidiary.

Consolidation journals are created automatically when you fetch data from subsidiaries. They are monthly journal entries that combine all transactions and journal entries from subsidiaries into a single entry.

Scenario: Patricia Boyle has already fetched data from subsidiaries up to November 2025. When she fetches data for March 2026, consolidation journals will automatically be created for December 2025, January 2026, February 2026, and March 2026.

View Consolidation Journals

To view the details of a consolidation journal:

  • Go to the Multi-Company Console.
  • Select Consolidations in the left sidebar.
  • Open a consolidation journal to view the summarised entry.

You can view the summarised debits and credits of all accounts used in transactions for that subsidiary, for the selected period.

You cannot edit or delete a consolidation journal. However, you can create adjustment entries if changes are required.
