Create Picklist
There are three ways in which you can generate picklists for the sales orders in Zoho ERP,
- Create Picklist from Picklist Module
- Create Picklist from Sales Order Module
- Bulk Create Picklist from Sales Orders Module
Create Picklist from Picklist Module
Note: To create a picklist, you must enable Picklists module in Settings.
- Navigate to Inventory on the left sidebar.
- Go to Warehouse Operations on the top Module bar.
- Click Picklists from the dropdown.
- Click +New in the top right corner.
- Enter the details to create a picklist:

| Picklist# | Enter the Picklist number. To set up your preferred numbering method: 1. Click the Gear icon in the textbox. 2. Choose one of the following options: • Continue auto-generating picklist numbers Enter the Prefix and Next Number. Picklist numbers will be generated automatically based on the given configuration. • Enter picklist numbers manually Enable this option to enter the picklist number manually during picklist creation. |
| Date | Enter the date when the picklist is created or scheduled. |
| Assignee | Select the user responsible for processing or handling the picklist. |
| Location Name | Select the location from where the items will be picked. |
| Internal Notes | Enter additional comments or instructions for the picklist. |
- Click Add Items below.
- To filter the items, click or type the required Customer Name, Items and Sales Order. Once selected, click Search. Based on the filters, the items involved in the confirmed sales orders will be displayed.
- Select the items you wish to pick and click Add Items.
- Enter the quantity to pick for each item. If you’ve already picked some quantity, enter the value under the respective Quantity Picked field.
- If bins are enabled for the location and the item, you can select the Preferred Bin.
- Click Generate Picklist. The picklist’s status will be marked as Yet to Start.
Create Picklist from Sales Order Module
- Navigate to Sales on the left sidebar.
- Click Sales Orders in the top Module bar.
- Create a sales order in the Items module.
- Once created, click Create in the top bar of the sales order details page.
- Select Picklist in the dropdown. You will be redirected to the picklist creation page.
- Select the Assignee and add Quantity to Pick. If you have already picked item, enter the Quantity Picked.
- If bins enabled for the selected location and item, select the Preferred Bin.
- Click Generate Picklist.
Bulk Create Picklist from Sales Orders Module
- Navigate to Sales on the left sidebar.
- Click Sales Orders in the top Module bar.
- Select the sales orders you wish to create picklist.
- Click the More icon in the top right corner.
- Select Generate Picklist in the dropdown. You will be re-directed to the picklist creation page.
- Select the Assignee and add Quantity to Pick. If you have already picked item, enter the Quantity Picked.
- If bins enabled for the selected location and item, select the Preferred Bin.
- Click Generate Picklist.

Preferred Bin
Admins can suggest a preferred bin for pickers to pick items from. This is only a preference and not mandatory. Pickers can also pick items from other bins if required. Preferred Bin can be assigned during Picklist Creation or Picklist Status Update.
Prerequisite:
- Only admins can assign a preferred bin.
- The selected location must be bin-enabled.
- The items must be bin-enabled.
