Understanding Assemblies
Assemblies in Zoho ERP
The Assemblies module in Zoho ERP is used to combine multiple component items into a single finished item. It is a simplified process and is ideal when you don’t need to track operations, work centers, or production costs. Assemblies are best suited for quick item creation where only component consumption and assembled item tracking are required.
Ways to Create a Assembly Item
You can create assembly item in three ways:
- From the composite items module
- From the assemblies module
- From the sales module
Lifecycle of Assemblies
- Draft - The assembly is created and can be edited. No inventory is affected at this stage.
- Confirmed - The assembly is finalized and ready to be processed, but inventory is still not impacted.
- Assembled - The items are consumed from inventory and the finished item quatity is increased.
