Assemblies Operations

You can perform some additional actions such as edit, delete, clone, mark as inactive in assemblies.

Delete

If an assembly is no longer needed, you can delete it anytime. When you do so, the stock level of the components gets restored automatically. To do so,

  • Go to Inventory on the left sidebar.
  • Navigate to Assemblies on the top Module bar.
  • Open a preferred assembled item that you want to delete
  • Click Delete on the top section.
  • Confirm your action by clicking Delete in the pop-up that follows.

Download PDF or Print Assemblies

You can download or print the assembly details to share, review, or keep a physical record for reference.

To download or print details of an assembly, you can:

  • Go to Inventory on the left sidebar.
  • Navigate to Assemblies on the top Module bar.
  • Open a preferred assembled item that you want to download.
  • Click the Print/PDF in the top right corner.
  • Select either Print or Pdf from the dropdown and select the action you would like to do.

Import Assemblies

Helps you bulk add assemblies into Zoho ERP by uploading a file, saving time instead of creating each assembly manually.

To import an assembly into your Zoho ERP account,

  • Go to Inventory on the left sidebar.
  • Navigate to Assemblies on the top Module bar.
  • Click the More (Three dot) icon in the top right corner.
  • Select the Import Assemblies option from the dropdown.
  • Browse and upload either a CSV, XLS or TSV type file. You can download the sample file from this page to get an idea on how to create the files you need to import.
  • Choose the Character Encoding involved from the dropdown. By default, the character encoding is UTF-8(Unicode).
  • Click Next to proceed to the mapping fields window.
  • If you want to select the decimal format in import, click the Edit icon near the Default Data Formats.
    • Select Format At Field Level - Enable this to choose a specific format for each field during import.
    • Default Format - Select the date format from the dropdown.
  • Zoho ERP will automatically map similar fields and match them together. You can manually match the unmapped ones or alter the mapped ones.
  • Click the checkbox beside the option Save these selections for use during future imports to automate mapping for future item imports.
  • Click the Next button.
  • Here, an overview of the number of variants ready for import, the number of skipped records, and unmapped fields will be shown.
  • Click the Previous button if you need to make any changes to the operation.
  • If everything is ready, click the Import button to import.

Export Assemblies

You can export assembly details from Zoho ERP in supported file formats so you can back them up, analyze them offline, or share them with others.

To export assembly items from your Zoho ERP account:

  • Go to Inventory on the left sidebar.
  • Navigate to Assemblies on the top Module bar.
  • Click the More icon in the top right corner.
  • Select the Export Assemblies option in the dropdown.
  • Choose one of the following options:
    • All Assemblies: Export all assembly items from your organization.
    • Specific Period: Select a custom date range and export the items created within this date range.
  • Select the format(CSV, XLS, XLSX) in which you want to download your export file.
  • Choose the Export Template from the dropdown.
  • If the export contains personal information, enable Include Sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) while exporting.
  • Enter a password to secure your export file if needed.
  • Enable any additional fields, such as Batch Numbers and Serial Numbers, that you want to include in the export
  • Click the Export button at the bottom. The file will be downloaded to your device.
