Salary Details

The Salary Details module in Zoho ERP allows employees to view their complete salary information in one place. From understanding your salary structure to accessing monthly payslips and reviewing annual earnings, this module provides clear visibility into your earnings, deductions, contributions, and taxes. You can also declare your Flexible Benefit Plan (FBP), once it is enabled by your payroll administrator.

To access your salary information:

  • Go to Payroll on the left sidebar and select Salary Details.

Salary Structure

In the Salary Structure tab, you can view a detailed breakdown of your salary components that make up your Cost to Company (CTC). This includes:

  • Earnings such as Basic Pay, House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other earnings
  • Benefits (Taxable)
  • FBP Components
  • Other Benefits (Non-taxable)

This section helps you clearly understand how your salary is structured and how each component contributes to your overall compensation.

Payslips

A payslip is generated for each payroll period and summarizes your earnings and deductions for that month. In the Payslips tab, you can view your payslip for the current month, which includes:

  • Earnings
  • Reimbursements
  • Deductions
  • Net Pay
  • Take-home Salary

To view payslips from previous months, use the Month filter at the top of the page and select the required month.

You can also review detailed tax calculations for each payroll period by clicking View Tax Worksheet, which shows how income tax was calculated and deducted from your salary.

Annual Earnings

The Annual Earnings tab provides a year-to-date summary of your earnings, deductions, and statutory components for the selected financial year.

To view details from previous years, use the Financial Year filter and select the required year.

Flexible Benefit Plan (FBP)

A Flexible Benefit Plan (FBP) allows you to customize certain components of your salary based on your preferences, within limits defined by your organization. By allocating amounts to applicable FBP components, you can structure your salary more efficiently and potentially reduce your tax liability.

SCENARIO: Manish is a salesperson at Zylker. As per the company’s salary structure, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Helper Allowance, and Travel Allowance are available as flexible components. Since Manish already owns a house, he allocates his FBP amount to Helper Allowance and Travel Allowance instead, helping him optimize his income tax.

Declare Your FBP Components

NOTE: You can declare your FBP components only after your payroll administrator releases FBP for the current period.

To declare your FBP components:

  • Go to Payroll on the left sidebar and select Giving.
  • In the Salary Structure tab, click View and Submit FBP Declaration from the banner at the top of the page.
  • Enter the monthly amount for each applicable FBP component.
  • Review the Total Allocation Amount to ensure you stay within the allowed limits.
  • Click Save to submit your FBP declaration.
