Routes

A Route is a defined path within a sales region that organizes the sequence of customer visits for a sales team. Routes help plan journeys efficiently, ensuring that all beats are covered without overlaps or missed visits.

The Routes module in Zoho ERP lets you create and manage routes under each sales region. You can add journey plans to a route, assign it to salespersons, and track their visits, making it easier to plan beats and maintain consistent coverage across the market.

Create Routes You need to create a route to define the path your sales team will follow within a sales region. This helps plan visits to beats efficiently and ensures complete coverage of the market. To create a route:

  • Go to Distribution on the left sidebar.
  • Click Routes in the Modules bar at the top.
  • Click +New in the top right corner of the page.
  • Fill in the following in the Route Details section:
    • Route Name: Enter a name for the route.
    • Route#: Enter a unique number to identify the route. You can enter the number manually or use the auto-generated number.
    • Description: Provide a description if required to help users identify the purpose of the route.

Note: A customer from a sales region can be assigned to only one route at a time.

  • Click Next.
  • In the Route Plan section, you’ll see the selected customers on the left and a map with numbers on the right.
  • The order in Selected Customers represents the sequence in which a salesperson will visit the customers on this route. Drag to rearrange the visit order.
  • The map shows the locations of the customers and the order in which they will be visited.
