Purchases and Expenses Analytic Reports
The Purchases and Expenses analytics contains a list of reports that show your business’s purchases and expenses from various sources.
Note: Users in custom roles can perform actions and access modules only based on the permissions enabled for them.
To view the Purchases and Expenses analytics:
- Go to Reports on the left sidebar.
- Click Purchases and Expenses under Reports Category.
Purchases by Vendor
The Purchases by Vendor report provides a vendor-wise summary of your purchase transactions for a selected period, enabling you to quickly review total spend across vendors and analyze purchasing trends.
Scenario: Brandon, the Finance Manager at Zylker, is preparing for a quarterly review and wants to identify the vendors that account for most of the company’s purchase spend. Instead of reviewing individual bills, he generates the Purchases by Vendor report for the quarter. The report shows the total amount spent with each vendor, helping him identify top suppliers, review procurement patterns, and share a summarized vendor-wise spend analysis with management.
Purchases by Item
The Purchases by Item report provides an item-wise summary of your purchase transactions for a selected period, helping you review how much you’ve spent on each item and analyze purchasing patterns at the item level.
Scenario: Brandon, the Finance Manager at Zylker, is reviewing quarterly procurement data to understand which items contribute most to the company’s purchase spend. Instead of analyzing individual bills, he generates the Purchases by Item report for the quarter. The report shows the total purchase value for each item, enabling him to identify high-cost items, review buying patterns, and share an item-wise purchase summary with management.
Receive History Report
Receive History provides consolidated view of all the purchase receives transactios recorded in your organisation. Under this report you can view the associated purchase orders and vendors, status of purchase receive and the quantity received. Click the purchase order number and vendor name if you want to go to the respective details page. You can use the date range filter to view reports for a specific time period.
Scenario: Patricia Boyle manages vendor purchases at Zylker and wants to review all items received from suppliers over a specific period. Instead of opening each purchase receive record one by one, she uses the Receive History report. The report shows all purchase receives together with the related purchase orders, vendor names, receive status, and quantities received. This helps Patricia quickly check what was received, from whom, and in what quantity, all in one place.
