Salary Register


The Salary Register report provides a detailed, employee-wise view of salary components processed for a selected payroll month. It helps you review earnings, taxes, and net pay for each employee, making it useful for payroll verification, accounting, and audits.

Access Salary Register

To access the Salary Register report:

  1. Click Reports on the left sidebar.
  2. Under Report Category, click Payroll Overview and select Salary Register.

INSIGHT: You can also search for Salary Register using the search bar at the top and navigate directly to the report.

  1. Use the month selector at the top left to choose the payroll month you want to review.
  2. Enable Include Employee Details to display additional employee information in the report, such as:
  • Father Name
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Designation
  • Department
  • Date of Joining
  • Mobile Number
  • Personal Email
  • PF Account Number
  • UAN Number
  • ESI Number
  • Loss of pay days
  • No of Paid Days
  • Date of Payment

The salary data for the selected month will be displayed in a tabular format, grouped by pay components for each employee.

Components of Salary Register

The report includes the following payroll components:

ComponentDescription
EarningsTotal earnings paid to the employee for the selected month, based on the salary structure including Basic Pay, House Rent Allowance, and Fixed Allowance.
Gross PayTotal earnings calculated before deducting taxes and other deductions.
TaxesPayroll taxes deducted from the employee’s earnings for the selected month. Includes Tax on Income, Surcharge, Cess, Total Income Tax, and Professional Tax.
Net PayFinal salary amount paid to the employee after taxes and other deductions.

The available components may vary based on your payroll configuration and the salary structure assigned to employees for the selected month.

Export Salary Register

To export the report:

  1. Click Reports on the left sidebar.
  2. Under Report Category, click Payroll Overview and select Salary Register.
  3. Click Export as at the top right.
  4. Choose the required export format: XLS, XLSX, or Zoho Sheet.
  5. To protect the exported file, enable Protect this file with a password and enter a password with at least six characters.
  6. Click Export.
