Ask Zia

Ask Zia is an AI-powered assistant in Zoho ERP that helps users quickly access information, create records, and gain insights using natural language queries. Users can ask questions in simple terms to create records, view reports, check key metrics, track records, and understand trends without navigating through multiple modules.

Ask Zia helps users quickly find the information they need and make informed decisions. By reducing the need for manual searches and complex queries, Ask Zia enables users to make faster, data-driven decisions and improves overall productivity.

Enable Zia

Initially, Ask Zia feature should be enabled to interact with Zia, AI assistant. Follow the steps to enable Zia,

  • Select Ask Zia from the widgets pane found on the right hand side.
  • In the Ask Zia panel, click Enable Zia to activate the Zia, AI assistant.

Once, Ask Zia is enabled, a few sample queries will be listed using which users can start interacting with Zia.

Interact with Zia

Users can interact with Zia in two ways: by manually entering a query or by using the voice recording feature. Zia supports voice-based search, allowing users to perform searches using voice commands. Here’s how users can interact with Zia:

  • Select Ask Zia from the widgets pane.
  • In the Ask Zia panel, enter your question in the Type your query text box. (Or)
  • Click the Voice Recorder icon and provide your voice input. The voice input will be displayed as text in the Type your query text box.

Note: Currently, Zia supports voice input only in English. Also, the voice input converted as text can be edited based on need.

  • Click Send icon.

The answer to your entered question will be fetched and displayed within the Ask Zia panel.

Insight: Zia stores the last thirty and more messages. Only the last ten messages will be taken into consideration for generating responses.

Other Actions

There are a few additional actions, such as Pin, Disable, and Clear Chat, that users can perform within the Ask Zia panel. Let us see how to perform each action:

Pin Zia

The Ask Zia panel can be pinned to the right-hand side of the Zoho ERP application, where it will not overlap with the records displayed on the screen. To pin the Ask Zia panel,

  • Click the Pin icon at the top left corner of the Ask Zia panel.

Note: Users can Unpin the Ask Zia panel at any time, as required.

Once the Ask Zia panel is pinned, the record displayed on the left side automatically adjusts to remain fully visible without any overlap.

Disable Zia

Zia can be disabled at any time based on requirements. To disable Zia,

  • Select Disable from the More options in the top right corner of the Ask Zia panel.
  • In the popup that appears, click Disable Now to disable Zia for the ERP organisation.

Once Zia is disabled, users can not interact with Zia. Users can enable it again to interact with Zia when required.

Clear Chat

Users can utilise the Clear Chat option to delete the existing chats from the Ask Zia panel. Zia stores only the latest messages. To clear chat,

  • Select Clear Chat from the More options in the top right corner of the Ask Zia panel.
  • In the popup that appears, click Clear Chat to delete all the conversations with Zia.

Once the conversations are deleted, they cannot be retrieved again.
