# Currencies

If your business caters to different countries or plan to expand your business internationally, this feature enables you to display product prices in different currencies for your customers. It also enables your customers to choose their preferred currency from a list you create, so they can see the exchange rate in their own currency. Here is how to access this feature:

*   Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
*   Navigate to **Currencies** under _Organization_.

**Note:** While customers have the option to choose their preferred viewing currency on the website, it’s important to note that they can only make payments in base currency.

Here is an overview of how you can manage your currencies with Zoho Commerce.

### Base Currency

In Zoho Commerce, the term “base currency” refers to the currency that you specify as the primary currency for accepting payments on your website’s payment page. This means that when customers make purchases, the prices displayed will be their currency and the payments processed will be in this base currency.         

### Adding a New Currency

To add a new currency that you want yuo, follow these steps:

*   Sign in to your Zoho Commerce organization.
*   Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
*   Navigate to **Currencies** under _Organization_.
*   Click **\+ New Currency**.
*   Select the **Currency Code** from the drop-down provided.
*   As per the Currency Code you select, the Currency Symbol, Decimal Places, and Format will be auto populated. However, you may edit this if required.
*   Click on the **Save** button to add the currency.

### Editing a Currency

To update currency information or the exchange rate for a currency, follow these steps:

*   Sign in to your Zoho Commerce organization.
*   Click the **Gear** icon in the top right corner.
*   Navigate to **Currencies** under _Organization_.
*   Hover over the currency that you’d like to edit.
*   Click the **Edit** option.
*   On the Edit pop up, you can edit the currency details & add an exchange rate.
*   Click **Save** to update the changes.

### Deleting Currencies

To delete a currency that you have added, follow these steps:

*   Sign in to your Zoho Commerce organization.
*   Click the **Gear** icon in top right corner.
*   Navigate to **Currencies** under _Organization_.
*   Hover over the currency that you’d like to delete.
*   Click the **Trash Can icon**.
*   Click **Okay** to confirm.

**Note:** You will not be able to delete your base currency.

### Enabling Auto Exchange Rate Feeds

To enable automatic exchange rate feeds, follow these steps:

*   Sign in to your Zoho Commerce organization.
*   Click the **Gear** icon in the top right corner.
*   Navigate to **Currencies** under _Organization_.
*   Click **Enable Exchange Rate Feeds** on the top right corner.
*   Click **Okay** in the pop up that appears to confirm.

### Enabling Currency Conversion

To enable currency conversion for your store, follow these steps,

*   Sign in to your Zoho Commerce organization.
*   Click the **Gear** icon in the top right corner.
*   Navigate to **Currencies** under _Organization_.
*   Click **Enable Currency Conversion** on the top right corner.
*   Click **Enable** in the pop up that appears to confirm.

### Manually Adding Exchange Rates

If you wish to manually add the exchange rate for a currency, follow these steps:

*   Sign in to your Zoho Commerce organization.
*   Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
*   Navigate to **Currencies** under _Organization_.
*   Hover over the currency that you’d like to update and click **View Exchange Rates.**
*   Click on the **\+ Add Exchange Rate** on the top right corner.
*   Select the date for which the exchange rate is being entered.
*   Enter the exchange rate.
*   Click **Save** to add the exchange rate.

### View Exchange Rate History for a Currency

This feature gives you a summary of the exchange rate fluctuations. You can also add a new exchange rate or delete an existing rate from this pager as well.

**Note:** This is only available for organisations that have not enabled automatic exchange rate feeds and rely on manually adding/importing exchange rates.

*   Sign in to your Zoho Commerce organization.
*   Click the **Gear** icon in the top right corner.
*   Select **Currencies** under _Organization_.
*   Hover over the currency that you’d like to view.
*   Click on the **View exchange rates** button.
