# Coupons

Zoho Commerce lets you create coupons to attract more customers. These coupons can be used by your customers to buy items at a discounted price.

## Enable Coupons

Here’s how you enable coupons for your online store:

*   Go to _Settings_ in the top right corner.
*   Click **General** under _Storefront_.
*   Enable **Coupons** from the list of features.
*   Click **Save**.

You will now be able to create coupons for your customers.

## Create Coupons

You can create coupon codes for your customers. Here’s how:

*   Go to **Coupons** under _Marketing_.
*   Click **\+ New**.

**Fields**

**Description**

Name

Enter the coupon name.

Coupon Code

The coupon code that you enter here will be used by your customers to avail the discount. You can type your own code or create an auto-generated code by clicking Generate Code.

Apply as

**Coupon:** Select this option if you want customers to enter a coupon code manually.  
  
**Automatic Discounts:** Choose this to have the discount applied automatically at checkout.

Description

The coupon description that you add here will be displayed alongside the coupon during checkout.

Discount Type

**Order Level:** If you choose order level, the discount will be applied to the order’s total amount.  
  
**Item level:** If you choose item level, the discount will be applied to the individual items, categories, or collections.  
  
**Buy X Get Y:** If you choose Buy X Get Y, your customers will receive certain quantities of an item at a discounted amount on buying certain quantities of one item.

Set Discount

**Enter Discount Value:** The discount percentage will be calculated based on the order total.  
  
**Free of Cost:** Depending on the discount type, the item or the order will be given for free of cost.

Minimum Cart Amount

The coupon code can be applied to an order only if its cart value is equal to or greater than the minimum cart amount.

Eligible Customers

You can restrict this coupon for some customers by selecting only the eligible customers for a coupon.

Eligible Shipping Zones

The coupon can be availed only if the delivery address falls under certain shipping zones.

Active Coupon

Mark a coupon as active if you wish to allow your customers to use it. You can change this anytime by editing the coupon.

Show in Store

Enabling this will list this coupon on the checkout page. In case you disable this, the discount can still be applied if the customer uses an active coupon code.

Offer Period

Choose the validity of your coupon by entering a start and end date.

Store Limit

This is the maximum number of times a coupon can be used.

Customer Limit

This is the maximum number of times a coupon can be used by a single customer.

*   After entering all the details, click **Save.** The coupon will be created.

## Edit Coupons

You can make changes to your existing coupons by editing them. Here’s how:

*   Go to **Coupons** under _Marketing._
*   Select the coupon you wish to make changes to and click **Edit**.
*   Make the necessary changes and click **Save**.

## Delete Coupons

A coupon will be marked expired once the offer period is over. You can choose to delete a coupon while it’s still active or after it expires. To do so:

*   Go to **Coupons** under _Marketing_.
*   Select the coupon you wish to delete and click **Delete.**

## Coupon Settings

Here’s how you access the organization-level coupon settings:

*   Go to _Settings_ in the top right corner.
*   Click **Coupons** under _Storefront_.

**Fields**

**Description**

Show Item Coupons

Enable this to display coupons on the item details page.

Show Coupon Validity

Coupon validity indicates the time left before a coupon expiry. You can choose the countdown based on:  
  
**Coupon Start Date:** The countdown will begin from the start date selected during the coupon creation.  
  
**Days Until Coupon Expiry:** The countdown will begin based on the number of days entered in this field. For example, if you enter two days, the countdown will begin from 48 hours before the coupon expiry.

Show Coupon Usage

Enable this to display the percentage of coupon usage on the item details page.  
  
**Show Usage After:** The coupon usage will be shown on the online store only after it crosses the value entered in this field.

List Coupons During Checkout

Enable this to list all the active coupons on the checkout page.
