# How I do associate a template with a customer or vendor?

To associate a template with a customer or vendor:

*   Go to _Sales_ on the left sidebar and select **Customers**, or go to _Purchases_ on the left sidebar and select **Vendors**.
*   Select the customer or vendor for whom you want to associate a template.
*   Click **More** on the top right corner of the customer’s or vendor’s _Details_ page and select **Associate Templates** from the dropdown.
*   Click the dropdown next to the required modules and select the template you want to associate.
*   Click **Save**.

The template that you selected will be used when you send transactions to the customer or vendor.
