# Will sales orders affect my inventory?

Rasising a sales order will not affect the inventory. Inventory will be affected only if an invoice is sent.

However, creating a sales order will affect Committed Stock (the stock of an item that is committed to a sales order but not invoiced). You can view details of committed stock from the Committed Stock Details report.
