# How do I compare previous periods in the Trial Balance report?

To compare previous periods in the Trial Balance report:

*   Go to the **Reports** module in the left sidebar and click **Trial Balance** under _Accountant_ folder.
*   Click the **Customize** icon in the top right section of the page, and in the _Customize Report_ page, click the **General** tab.
*   Here, go to the **Date Range** tab and click the _Compare With_ dropdown.
*   Select **Previous Period(s)** and enter the _Number of Period(s)_.
*   Once done, click **Run Report.**

The comparison of Trial Balance report for the selected period will be displayed.
