# Why am I unable to convert quotes into sales orders or invoices?

In Zoho Books, you cannot convert a quote into a sales order or an invoice in any of the following cases:

1.  The quote is expired.
2.  The quote is marked as declined.
3.  Sales approval is enabled, and the quote is pending approval.

#### 1\. The quote is expired.

To resolve this, update the expiry date and try converting the quote into a sales order or invoice again.

#### 2\. The quote is marked as declined.

To resolve this, mark the quote as accepted and try converting the quote into a sales order or invoice again.

#### 3\. Sales approval is enabled, and the quote is pending approval.

To resolve this, approach a user who is an approver and ask them to approve the quote. Once the quote is approved, try converting the quote into a sales order or invoice.
