[Back](./) # How do I change my portal name? You can change the portal name only if the name you want to use is available. If any other Zoho Books organization has used the name you want to update, you will not be able to use it. To update your portal’s name: * Go to **Settings** in the top right corner. * Select **Customer Portal** or **Vendor Portal** under _Preferences_. * Click **Edit** in the portal details section. * Enter the new name in the _Portal Name_ field and click **Save**. Your portal’s name will be updated, and the portal URL will be changed. Ensure that you resend the portal link to your customers and as the old URL will no longer be valid and they’ll not be able to use the old portal URL to log in to the.
