# What is the relation between a Record Owner in Zoho CRM and Salesperson in Zoho Books?

In Zoho CRM, it is not possible to create a transaction without assigning a **Record Owner**. This record owner in Zoho CRM is synced as the **Salesperson** of that particular transaction in Zoho Books. Similarly, if a sales person is associated with a transaction in Zoho Books, the user who creates the transaction in Books would be the record owner in Zoho CRM.
