# How do I associate the Taxes to the contacts in Zoho Books that come from Zoho CRM?

The tax associated with a record in Zoho CRM will not get synced into Zoho Books via the integration. Instead, you can make use of a [custom function](https://www.zoho.com/books/help/settings/automation.html#custom-functions).

*   Create a custom field for the **Contacts/Accounts** module in Zoho CRM and give the tax value.
*   Configure a Custom function in such a way that the value from the custom field in CRM updates the **Tax field** in Zoho Books.
