# How do I assign an account’s primary contact in both Zoho CRM and Zoho Books?

If there are multiple contacts mapped under an **Account** in Zoho CRM, you can choose which contact should be the primary contact in Books. Here’s how:

*   Create a [Custom Field](https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/kb/crm/customize-crm-account/customizing-fields/articles/use-custom-fields#Custom_Fields), with data type as **Checkbox** in Zoho CRM. While creating a contact, mark this option if you want to sync the contact as primary in Books.
*   Now, in Zoho Books, map the **Is primary contact** field with the newly created Custom field.

Your primary contact will be synced accordingly.
