# Does Zoho Books Capture the Invoice PDF When a Transaction Is Marked as Open?

When a transaction is marked as Open, Zoho Books captures and stores the invoice PDF, including invoices that use custom templates.

However, we strongly recommend using predefined templates to ensure that all required data is included in the invoice and that your invoices remain compliant.
