# After Migration, Are My Existing Custom Invoice Templates Still Usable Even Though They Are Not Fully Compliant?

Templates already used for existing transactions are retained after migration, even if they are not compliant. Some custom templates will continue to be available and editable within the permitted limits.

However, to stay compliant, we recommend using the standard templates provided in Zoho Books. Fully custom HTML templates, where every element can be modified, are not recommended for use as they are not compliant.
