B2Brouter is not mandatory for creating invoices in Zoho Books. Zoho Books provides native integration with B2Brouter if you want to send e-invoices directly from Zoho Books through the supported e-invoicing flow.

If your business uses another approved platform, you can continue creating invoices in Zoho Books and export them for e-invoicing through that external platform. In that case, your business is responsible for managing the submission and compliance workflow outside Zoho Books.
