# How do I record a credit note in Zoho Books?

Here’s how to record a credit note:

*   Go to _Purchases_ on the left sidebar and select **Bills**.
*   Click **Create Credit Note** from the _\+ New_ dropdown.
*   Select the vendor for whom you want to create a credit note and enter the required details.
*   Click **Save**.
