# Can I pay a bill partially?

Yes, you can record partial payment for a bill. Such bills will be filtered as _Partially Paid_ bills. Here’s how:

*   Go to _Purchases_ on the left sidebar and select **Bills**.
*   Select an unpaid bill and click **Record Payment**. The total bill amount will be auto-populated in the _Payment Made_ field, you can edit it if you want.
*   Click **Save**.

The payment will be recorded, and the bill amount will be reduced accordingly.
