# How do I add custom fields to quotes?

You can add [custom fields](https://www.zoho.com/books/help/quote/preferences.html#customize-fields) to your quote.

*   Go to **Settings** in the top right corner.
*   Select **Quotes** under _Sales_.
*   Go to the _Field Customization_ tab and click **\+ New Custom Field** in the top right corner of the page.
*   Enter the **Field Name** and select the **Data Type**.
*   Choose **Yes** for _Is Mandatory_ if you want the custom field to be mandatory. Choose **Yes** for _Show in All PDFs_ if you want the custom field to be displayed in the PDFs.
*   Click **Save**.
