# How do I convert a sent quote into a draft?

In Zoho Books, you cannot change the status of a quote from **Sent** to **Draft**. Zoho Books restricts this conversion as it is not possible to unsend a quote.

**Insight:**If you have [enabled the customer portal](/books/help/customer-portal/#enable-customer-portal), all the sent quotes will be displayed to the customer in the customer portal.

If it is necessary, you can try [cloning the quote](/books/help/quote/other-actions.html#clone), saving the cloned quote in the draft status, and deleting the old quote.

**Warning:**Deleting is a permanent action that cannot be undone.
