# My company offers discounts during festive seasons. How do I advertise these discounts on WhatsApp?

To send promotions and advertisements through WhatsApp, you’ll have to [create a customer notification template](https://www.zoho.com/in/books/help/integrations/whatsapp-integration.html#Configure-Templates) in Zoho Books and mark the _Template Category_ as _Marketing_.

Once the template is created and approved, follow these steps:

*   Go to _Sales_, navigate to **Customers** and select a customer.
*   Click the **Send dropdown** in the _Receivables_ section and select **WhatsApp Message**.
*   The contact person and the message template will be auto-populated in the following _Send WhatsApp Message_ pop-up.
*   Click **Send**.

The promotional WhatsApp notification will be sent to the respective contact person.
