Record of Employment (ROE)
A Record of Employment (ROE) provides details about an employee’s work history. It is an essential document used by employees to apply for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits.
The information in the ROE helps Service Canada determine:
- Whether an employee qualifies for EI benefits
- The benefit amount
- The duration of the benefit period
- Whether EI funds are being used correctly
As an employer, you are required to issue an ROE whenever an employee experiences an interruption of earnings.
Zoho Payroll helps you generate ROEs for employees quickly and accurately whenever required.
