How do I know, when to enter an opening balance?
Opening Balance is not manually entered into the books of accounts unless it is a new business.
The debit or credit balance of an account that we get at the end of the accounting period is known as closing balance of that account. This closing balance is automatically carried forward as the opening balance for the next accounting year.
