[Back](./) # Why are my emails being sent from the address [message-service@sender.zohobooks.com](mailto:message-service@sender.zohobooks.com)? If the domain you’ve added in the sender’s mail preferences doesn’t have **SPF** and **DKIM** records, emails from your address might be marked as spam. To avoid this, Zoho Books automatically updates the sender’s email to **[message-service@sender.zohobooks.com](mailto:message-service@sender.zohobooks.com)** when sending emails. This increases the chance of your emails reaching the recipient’s inbox rather than being classified as spam. To send emails from your own email address, you need to [authenticate your domain](https://www.zoho.com/in/books/help/settings/emails.html#authenticate-domains) by setting up the **SPF** and **DKIM** records. Once your domain is authenticated, emails will be sent from your official email address instead of the Zoho Books address. **Insight:** Emails sent from public email domains (e.g., Gmail or Yahoo) cannot be authenticated with SPF and DKIM, which is why they default to **[message-service@sender.zohobooks.com](mailto:message-service@sender.zohobooks.com)**. * * *
