TPAC Packaging streamlines manufacturing process and boosts efficiency with Zoho CRM

"We evaluated several well-known CRM systems like Salesforce, MS Dynamics, and HubSpot, but what really stood out about Zoho was the perfect balance of features, flexibility, and affordability."

The company

TPAC Packaging (Thai Plaspac Public Company Limited), founded in 1983, is a manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging solutions serving the FMCG and pharmaceutical industries. Headquartered in Bangkok, TPAC operates over 10 plants across Thailand, India, Malaysia, and the UAE.

Their customer base includes leading global brands such as Nestlé, Amul, Hershey, Coca-Cola, and Johnson & Johnson. What began with a single injection-moulding machine has grown into a multi-region manufacturing enterprise with a strong global presence.

The challenge

TPAC Packaging operates two business models: repeat orders with simple approvals and a complex new product development (NPD) process involving multiple approvals and a 90-day cycle from design to production. Supporting both models required more than a standalone CRM; TPAC needed an integrated system to connect teams and processes. However, sales and operations relied heavily on spreadsheets and manual workflows, with no centralized CRM in place.

As the company grew, this led to poor pipeline visibility, difficulty tracking customer communications, missed follow-ups, inconsistent pricing and quotation formats, manual handling of NPD, support, and compliance, and slow reporting. The lack of a single source of truth created inefficiencies and delayed decision-making across teams.

The solution

TPAC was introduced to Zoho through a sister company that had successfully implemented it with support from Yashuss Unlimited, a Zoho Premium Partner. While evaluating CRM solutions in 2021, TPAC chose Zoho to address key challenges such as lack of sales visibility, limited control over new product development, and difficulty tracking project budgets, data, and time. Zoho CRM Plus was implemented as a centralized system, becoming the single source of truth for their operations.

Zoho CRM was set up as the core sales platform with region-specific layouts to accommodate differences in compliance, customer segments, and product variations. Given the complexity, Yashuss Unlimited worked closely with each regional team, implementing workflows in phases and ensuring smooth adoption across regions.

Benefits and ROI

Zoho CRM gave TPAC complete visibility into sales pipelines across regions, with centralized communication and automated follow-ups ensuring no opportunities were missed. Real-time reporting enabled faster, data-driven decisions, while reduced manual effort improved efficiency, compliance, and lead response times—helping the team manage more opportunities without increasing headcount.

Partner engagement

TPAC partnered with Yashuss Unlimited, a Zoho implementation partner, to design and roll out a scalable, region-specific CRM across four regions. Through on-site workshops, collaborative system design, and phased rollouts, Yashuss helped TPAC build a unified CRM tailored to each region’s needs. They also integrated Zoho CRM with Zoho Projects for NPD management and connected regional ERPs using Zoho Catalyst, ensuring real-time visibility and seamless operations. Ongoing post-implementation support enabled strong adoption, improved efficiency, and long-term success.

Looking forward

With a strong data foundation in place, TPAC plans to leverage Zoho’s AI and Zoho Analytics for deeper insights and smarter decision-making. While CRM Plus adoption continues to grow gradually, the team expects usage to accelerate as value becomes clearer. Over the next year, TPAC also plans to migrate its ERP systems to SAP, integrate with Zoho CRM as part of building a more connected, intelligent ecosystem.
