Migration guide for workflows

This section lets you locate and configure the workflow-related features and functionalities in Creator 5 as given below:

Access workflow section 

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard-> Click Workflow in the left pane.

In Creator 5: Access Workflows from the header bar while editing the application.


Write script in the Form actions -> On add -> On load section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On add - On load  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Created -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On load -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Form actions -> On add -> Validate section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On add - Validate  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Created -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On validate -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Form actions -> On add -> On success section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On add - On success  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Created -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On success -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On edit - On load  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Edited -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On load -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Form actions -> On edit -> Validate section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On edit - Validate'  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Edited -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On validate -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Form actions -> On edit -> On success section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On edit - On success  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Edited -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On success -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Form actions -> On delete -> Validate section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On delete - Validate  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Deleted -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On validate -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Form actions -> On delete -> On success section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Form actions - On delete - On success -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Deleted -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On success -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Field actions -> On user input section of a field

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Field actions - Select field - on user input  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page in the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Created or Edited  -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On user input -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Write script in the Field actions -> On update section

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Choose the required form from the header -> Field actions - Select field - On update  -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save script.

In Creator 5: Navigate to the Workflow page in the header bar -> Create New workflow -> Select While using the form -> Choose the form -> Select Edited -> Name the workflow -> Create workflow -> Add new action -> Deluge script -> On update -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.


Access schedules

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Click Schedules tab in the header.

In Creator 5: Click Workflow page in the header bar -> Select Schedules tab on workflow dashboard.


Create a form schedule

 In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Click Schedules tab on the header -> Click Create(Form schedule) -> Configure When to do? -> Next -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.

In Creator 5: Click Workflow page on the header bar -> Create new workflow -> Select on a scheduled date -> Select choose a date field tab -> Specify the schedule -> Add new action -> Deluge script. Apart from Deluge script, Creator 5 contains the set of other predefined actions such as Notification, Data access, and Integrations that you can associate with the schedule.


Create a report schedule

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Click Schedules tab on the header -> Click Create(Report schedule) -> Configure When to do? -> Next -> Customize the email template and select the report as attachment -> Save.

In Creator 5: You can create a schedule and choose the Specify date and time option to configure and send reports as attachments. To create:

Click the Workflow page on the header bar -> Create new workflow -> Select on a scheduled date -> Select Specify date and time tab -> Configure date and time -> Add new action -> Notification -> Send email -> Configure email notification and attach the report -> Save.


Create a custom schedule

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Click Schedules tab on the header -> Click Create(Custom schedule) -> Configure When to do? -> Next -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.

In Creator 5: Click Workflow page on the header bar -> Create new workflow -> Select on a scheduled date -> Select Specify date and time tab -> Specify the date and time -> Add new action -> Deluge script. Apart from Deluge script, Creator 5 contains the set of other predefined actions such as Notification, Data access, and Integrations that you can associate with the schedule.


View the form definition with action

In the current version: Navigate to Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Form definition -> Select with action.

In Creator 5: Click Settings in the header bar -> Developer tools -> Application IDE -> Select a form on the left menu. The application IDE will load only the form definition. You can view the actions associated with the form by clicking on the workflow name below each form in the left menu. The workflow will load only the actions defined in the form.


View the form definition without action

In the current version: Navigate to Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Form definition -> Select without actions.

In Creator 5: Click Settings in the header bar -> Developer tools -> Application IDE -> Select a form on the left menu. 


Create a function

In the current version: Navigate to the Application dashboard -> Workflows -> Click Functions tab on the header -> Click New function button -> Add function name and return type -> Done -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save.

In Creator 5: Click Settings in the header bar -> Extensions -> Custom functions -> New function -> Add function name and return type -> Done -> Drag and drop the deluge tasks and customize -> Save. You can refer these functions in the Refer fields and functions section of the script builder while defining a Deluge script.
