Form Actions

Overview

Form Actions is a term used to refer to the following three types of "Form related events" which are further classified into various types each:

  • On Add(When you are adding data)
    • On Load - When the Form loads, before you enter any data.
    • Validate - When you are entering data into the Form. You can specify a criteria(at this Form action) to reject Form entires, based on the criteria. For example, check if a field value falls within a specified range, restrict the number of registrations to your Form etc.
    • On Success - When data is successfully added to the database.
  • On Edit(When you are editing existing data)
    • On Load - When the Form loads, before you edit/update data.
    • Validate - When you are updating existing data in a Form. You can specify a criteria(at this Form action) to reject updating data, based on the criteria. For example, check if a field value falls within a specified range, restrict the number of registrations to your form  etc.
    • On Success - When data is successfully updated in the database.
  • On Delete(When you are deleting data)
    • Validate - When you are deleting data. You can reject deleting the data based on a specified criteria.
    • On Success - When data is successfully deleted from the database.

Add Deluge Scripts to the above mentioned Form Actions to execute required actions, according to the selected "Form Action".

Steps to configure Form Actions

  1. Navigate to the Form builder.
  2. Click on the Settings icon on the top right corner. Select the required Form Actions under Workflow.

  • Form actions can also be accessed directly from the Workflow -> Forms tab.
