The company

For over two decades, Prestigo has been captivating young audiences across Canada and internationally with a distinctive mix of creativity, performance, and innovation. Headquartered in Quebec, the company operates across three key divisions: live shows touring schools, theaters, and festivals; television production for global distribution; and immersive experiences like dome-based productions. They also offer consulting services to help organizations connect with young audiences ethically and effectively.

The company’s mission is to create experiences that inspire joy, curiosity, and empowerment in young people while maintaining a lean, sustainable structure that supports its bold creative vision.

The problem

Before Zoho Creator, Prestigo’s operations were held together by dozens of Excel spreadsheets exchanged between remote teams. With artists travelling across the province, technicians preparing venues, sales reps booking events, and accountants processing royalties, the risk of outdated data, duplication, and human error was high.

"Before Zoho Creator, we were manually dispatching all kinds of information with all the issues you can imagine—copying and pasting, outdated files, and confusion between teams."

— Daniel Coutu,CEO and Artistic Director, Prestigo

Daniel initially built his own PHP-based ERP system using MySQL databases and purchased templates. While it worked for a while, it quickly became too time-consuming to update and too costly to scale with the help of external developers. The system couldn’t keep pace with the company’s growth or the increasing complexity of its productions.

The turning point came a decade ago, when Daniel discovered Zoho Creator through an online search. Its drag-and-drop builder, automation features, and scripting capabilities convinced him to migrate Prestigo’s ERP over to Zoho Creator.

The solution

Prestigo then partnered with NSI Solution, a Zoho Premium Partner, to gain local language support and industry-specific guidance. Leveraging their deep understanding of Prestigo’s operations, the NSI team provided the expertise needed to streamline and optimize the company’s business processes.

With their help, Zoho Creator now serves as Prestigo’s custom-built ERP, managing every stage of the customer journey, from the first inquiry to post-event feedback across all divisions.

"All the information the artists on site may need, such as where to enter, when tickets go on sale, and technical contacts, is all in one place. If someone suggests a change, like having three fields instead of one, I can implement it in five minutes. The iteration process is super easy."

— Daniel Coutu,CEO and Artistic Director, Prestigo

Lead management

When a school, theater, or festival submits a request through Prestigo’s website, the data flows directly into Zoho Creator. Leads are automatically captured, categorized, and ready for follow-up—eliminating manual entry and ensuring no opportunity is missed.

Contract management

From each lead, staff can generate a comprehensive booking agreement in Zoho Creator, detailing event location, audience size, ticketing timelines, technical contacts, and artist requirements. Integrated with Zoho Writer and Zoho Sign, the system automatically populates templates and enables secure digital signatures.

Logistics and communication

Once a booking is confirmed, Zoho Creator triggers automated workflows for sending posters and promotional materials to clients, sharing event details with artists, agents, and technicians, and instantly updating any changes across all linked records so a single edit cascades through every workflow.

Payments and royalties

The ERP includes a database of payment agreements, simplifying the calculation and distribution of fees to artists, agents, and technicians. Each payment is tied to its corresponding booking for full accuracy and accountability.

Customer feedback and analytics

After each performance, automated surveys are sent to clients, with responses linked to the relevant booking. This allows the team to measure satisfaction by artist, venue, or show type. Through integration with Zoho Analytics, Prestigo gains deeper insights into performance trends.

Prestigo recently launched Story Dome, an immersive show with a sales process very different from traditional performances. Rather than buy or adapt other software, the team simply built a new module in Zoho Creator.

Benefits and ROI

The move to Zoho Creator has delivered tangible gains in efficiency, cost savings, and service quality.

"We work for kids, and there’s less money in that business compared to mainstream entertainment. We need to be super efficient so we can offer affordable shows, pay our artists well, and keep our customers happy"

— Daniel Coutu,CEO and Artistic Director, Prestigo

Key benefits include:

  • Lower administrative costs: Automation has slashed manual tasks, keeping overhead low so more budget goes to production quality and artist pay.
  • Improved collaboration: Remote teams share one centralized source of truth, ensuring accurate, real-time updates.
  • Rapid adaptability: New workflows can be built in days or even hours, supporting innovation without disrupting ongoing operations.

Looking forward

Prestigo’s next big project is transforming its television division operations. Unlike live shows, TV production involves navigating the complex rules of six different unions, each with extensive collective agreements and unique compliance requirements.

The team is digitizing timesheets, contracts, and agreement management for technicians and performers, and integrating calculations for wages, remittances, and fiscal obligations directly into Zoho Creator. This will streamline administrative tasks, reduce the risk of errors, and free up more time for creative work.

Daniel’s advice to others considering low-code solutions is simple:

"Process mapping, process mapping, process mapping! Once you know the steps, Zoho Creator can do the rest. That’s the real magic—automation that frees you to focus on what matters."

— Daniel Coutu,CEO and Artistic Director, Prestigo

For Prestigo, that means bringing a little more wonder, joy, and inspiration into the lives of children while running a business as streamlined and adaptable as the performances it produces.
