Raptee.HV powers its electric motorcycle operations with a custom solution built on Zoho Creator
"Zoho Creator is our digital backbone, whether it’s handling simple workflows or complex data sets. What started with two forms is now a full-fledged application running our business operations."

The company
Founded in Chennai, Raptee.HV is an electric motorcycle startup focused on developing high-voltage motorcycles. With a team of 120–130 engineers, the company has spent over six years in research and development to build advanced electric vehicles designed and produced entirely in India.
The challenge
As a growing startup, Raptee faced significant operational and process management hurdles:
- Lack of flexibility: Off-the-shelf systems were rigid, expensive, and difficult to scale for a startup.
- Inefficient data handling: Teams managed complex data, such as bills of materials (BOMs) and part details, on Excel sheets, which made collaboration hard.
- Delays in purchase order management: The finance team had to manually handle purchase orders and approvals, creating bottlenecks.
- Limited visibility: Tracking development progress and managing version updates across 400 parts required better transparency.
"The biggest challenge was finding a system that could scale with us, not force us to adapt to it. Most ERP solutions were rigid and demanded extra resources just to maintain them.”
— Keerthivasan Ravi, COO and Co-Founder, Raptee.HV
The solution
After evaluating various off-the-shelf systems, Raptee chose Zoho Creator for its adaptability, scalability, and ease of use. With support from in-house developers, the team built Gallus, Gallus Pro, and Gallus Nex. These systems now work together as their complete digital thread, supporting everything from R&D to manufacturing to sales and service.
Gallus: R&D and internal operations
Gallus manages Raptee’s engineering lifecycle. It brings structure to activities that were earlier scattered across Excel sheets and email threads.
- Controls part master data, versioning, and engineering changes
- Manages R&D procurement with dedicated purchase requests, POs, and sample GRNs
- Handles test cases, results, quality feedback, and issues
- Integrates drawings, PDFs, and images with part records, giving new engineers immediate clarity
- Supports asset tracking, consumables, facility schedules, and internal approvals
This app functions as Raptee’s internal product lifecycle management system, ensuring every part, revision, and change request follows a clear process.
Gallus Pro: Manufacturing and quality
Gallus Pro runs Raptee’s manufacturing operations and brings order to a complex environment involving suppliers, quality checks, assembly, and logistics.
- Manages supplier onboarding and verification
- Tracks quality checks, NCRs, and inspection feedback
- Supports production planning and assembly workflows
- Maintains full traceability, linking every part and serial number to suppliers, batches, tests, and final vehicle records
- Handles end-of-line testing, dyno results, track tests, and finished-goods approval
The system also automates statutory dispatch documentation and keeps the entire manufacturing team aligned.

Gallus Nex: Sales, service, and dealership operations
Gallus Nex supports everything at the company that's customer-facing:
- Leads, quotations, and test-ride bookings
- Booking workflows, payments, and delivery readiness
- Dealer inventory, service appointments, job cards, and service invoices
- Warranty checks and after-sales support
The Raptee mobile app connects directly to this system for service bookings, ticket raising, refund requests, and customer updates.
Integration across systems
This is where Raptee’s Creator implementation stands out. Gallus, Gallus Pro, and Gallus Nex are tightly connected, allowing data to move automatically across engineering, manufacturing, and service. Beyond this internal flow, all three systems are also integrated with the wider Zoho ecosystem and several in-house and third-party tools.
Creator connects with Zoho Books, Zoho IoT, Zoho Directory, Catalyst, and multiple custom server APIs, along with external services such as WhatsApp, SMS gateways, and DigiKey. These integrations help automate notifications, link vehicle telemetry, validate suppliers, fetch real-time test and procurement data, and centralize customer interactions.
R&D to manufacturing
When a BOM or part revision is approved in Gallus, the updated data flows to Gallus Pro through internal APIs. This ensures manufacturing always works with the correct version.
Manufacturing to sales and service
Once a motorcycle clears all tests in Gallus Pro, all relevant data, like VIN, batch details, and build history flows to Gallus Nex, where it becomes available to dealers and service teams.
Service to R&D
Any field failure recorded in Gallus Nex is routed back to Gallus, helping R&D teams initiate engineering change requests (ECRs) when needed. This closes the loop and improves product quality.
Supplier portal
Using Creator, Raptee developed a supplier portal that manages not just purchase orders but also finance, quality, and compliance metrics. The platform has streamlined supplier onboarding and improved communication.

"Many of our suppliers were surprised to see a young company like us implement such a detailed supplier portal so early. It strengthened our relationships and brought more transparency into the process."
— Keerthivasan Ravi, COO and Co-Founder, Raptee.HV
Dealer portal
Alongside the supplier portal, Raptee also built dealer-facing capabilities within Gallus Nex to support sales, inventory, and after-sales operations across its dealer network. Dealers are onboarded onto the platform and use it as a single interface to manage their day-to-day interactions with Raptee.
Through Gallus Nex, dealers can:
- Receive vehicles and spare parts digitally once they are released and dispatched from manufacturing.
- View VIN-level vehicle details along with complete build and traceability information.
- Manage dealer inventory for vehicles and spares.
- Handle service appointments, job cards, service invoices, and warranty validation.
- Access accurate vehicle history and component data during servicing.
This direct integration between manufacturing, sales, and service ensures dealers always work with up-to-date information, reduces manual coordination, and improves turnaround time for both deliveries and service operations.
Benefits and ROI
- Faster onboarding: New employees get complete clarity about each part with integrated PDFs, images, and data in Creator, reducing confusion and training time.
- Decentralized operations: Supply chain executives can now create purchase orders themselves, with approvals routed through Creator. Finance has full visibility without doing all the manual work.
- Transparency and communication: Centralizing all parts, R&D iterations, and versioning in Creator reduced internal communication lags.
- Scalable system: Zoho Creator scaled with the team, from a couple dozen people to over 110, including vendors, without requiring additional software upgrades or heavy CapEx.
- Integrated service management: Ticketing, service appointments, and customer queries are all managed via the mobile app linked to Creator.
- Supplier engagement: Supplier portals built in Creator improved supplier relationships by integrating finance, quality, and process management.
- AI-enabled efficiency: AI features helped reduce cyclic tasks, giving the team more time for core innovation.
"The beauty of Zoho Creator is the flexibility which it provides to us. We can make process changes instantly based on feedback and continue improving every day. Creator grew with us as we scaled."
— Keerthivasan Ravi, COO and Co-Founder, Raptee.HV
Looking forward
Raptee plans to extend Creator into more parts of its operation. This includes deeper enhancements to their manufacturing execution system, exploring a full product lifecycle management application that connects with their CAD and modeling tools, and continuing to strengthen the Creator-based digital thread that links R&D, manufacturing, sales, and service.
