# Why is my shipping rate charged differently?

Check whether tax on shipping is enabled from **Settings** and then **Taxes** and then **Tax Your Shipping Rates**. If the shipping rule is based on quantity or weight, also check whether **Rate per item** or **Rate per unit** is enabled.
