# How do customers redeem loyalty points at checkout?

Customers can redeem their points during checkout by selecting **Apply loyalty points**.

For this option to be available:

*   The customer must be associated with a loyalty program in their profile.
*   The transaction date must be on or before the **Redemption End Date**.
*   The customer must meet the **Minimum Loyalty Points Required for Redemption**.

When loyalty points are applied to an order, customers can complete the purchase using online payment methods only.
