# How do I create a Buy X Get Y discount in Zoho Commerce?

Buy X Get Y lets customers receive a set quantity of an item at a discount, or free, when they buy a set quantity of another item.

*   Go to **Marketing** > **Coupons** and click **\+ New**.
*   Under **Apply as**, choose **Coupon** (customers enter a code) or **Automatic Discounts** (applied at checkout without a code).
*   Set **Discount Type** to **Buy X Get Y**.
*   Under **Customer Gets Y**, set the **Receiving Quantity** - the quantity of the item the customer will receive.
*   Set **Condition Based On** to specify whether the discount is applied based on items, collections, or categories.
*   Set the **Discount Value** as a percentage off the rewarded item.
*   Optionally, use the **Restrict Coupon Based On** section to:
    *   Enable **Set Minimum Cart Amount** to require a minimum order total.
    *   Enable **Customers** to restrict usage to specific customers or exclude guest users.
    *   Enable **Eligible Shipping Zones** to limit the coupon to selected shipping zones.
*   Fill in any remaining details such as offer period and usage limits, then click **Save**.
