# Can I set a minimum cart amount for a coupon to be applicable?

Yes. When creating or editing a coupon, scroll down to the **Restrict Coupon Based On** section. Enable the **Set Minimum Cart Amount** checkbox and enter the minimum order total in the field provided. The coupon can be claimed only if the order total crosses this minimum value.
