# Can I set a maximum discount limit for a coupon?

Yes. In the coupon page, enable **Limit maximum discount amount** under **Discount Details**, then enter the amount in **Maximum Discount Amount**. This sets the maximum discount value the coupon can apply. The **Limit maximum discount amount** option is available for percentage-based coupons.
