# What is an Item, and how is it different from a Category or Collection?

An item is a product or service that you sell in your store. It can be a physical product, a digital download, or a service offering. Each item has its own unique details, such as name, description, price, and stock level.

Categories and Collections are ways to organize and group items for easier browsing by customers. Categories are broader groupings that help customers navigate your store, while Collections are more curated groupings, often used for special promotions or seasonal offerings.
