# Does Zoho Commerce support selling out-of-stock items?

Yes, you can disable the **Restrict Out of Stock Purchases** option in your **Checkout Preferences** under _Online Store_ settings. This allows customers to place orders for items even when the stock level reaches zero. You can enable this to restrict purchases when stock is out, or disable it to allow customers to order items that are out of stock.
