Is stock tracked automatically, or do I need to enable it?

Stock is not tracked by default; you need to enable it per item. To enable it, open or edit an item and check Track Inventory for this item. Once enabled, the items will be tracked automatically, and the stock will be updated whenever a sale is made.

You can also add opening stock from the Item Details page by clicking the settings icon under the Locations section.
