Can I add custom fields to items?

Yes, custom fields are available for any extra data you need to track that is not already covered by specifications. To add a custom field:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Items > Fields.
  2. Click + New Field in the top right.
  3. Configure the field - set a name, data type (e.g. Text Box, Dropdown, Decimal), and whether it is mandatory or optional.
  4. Click Save.

The Fields tab also shows all existing fields with their data type, whether they are mandatory, whether they appear in PDFs, and their status. Built-in fields (SKU, Brand, Manufacturer, MRP) are locked and cannot be deleted, but custom fields (such as UPC, EAN, ISBN, or any field you create) can be edited. You can also reorder fields using Change Order.
