# Can I add barcode fields like UPC, EAN, or ISBN to items?

Yes, you can store barcode details, such as UPC, EAN, or ISBN, directly on the item for scanning and tracking. To add barcode fields,

*   Go to **Items** in the left menu, create a new item or edit an existing one.
*   In the _New Item_ or _Edit Item_ page, scroll down to the _Item Details_ section.
*   Click **Add Identifier** under SKU field. The UPC, MPN, EAN, and ISBN fields will be displayed. You can enter the barcode details in the respective fields and save the item.
