How will the session proceed and how can the users actively participate in it?

  • Once the user has clicked on Join button they will be taken to a new window in which the session is being hosted.
  • The user will get a prompt asking to enable Live Profile Picture.
  • If the user enables it, then the webcam will capture the image of the user periodically and display it in place of Profile Picture.
  • The browser will request permission to access camera and microphone.
  • Now the user can see the video of the Host.
  • The screen will also display the other participants of the session in the bottom. It will display their Profile Picture or Live Picture in accordance with what they have selected when entering the session.
  • Now if any of the users want to speak then they should click on the Request to speak button.
  • Their request will be sent to the Host and the user will get a small Waiting for approval box to their right side.
  • If the user wants to cancel the request, they can do so by clicking on the Cancel button in the Waiting for approval Box.
  •  All the users who have requested to speak will have the Waiting for approval icon - a raised hand shown in their profile picture displayed in the bottom of the screen.
  • The Host will receive the requests. The Host can give permission to any of the user by hovering over their profile picture and clicking on the Allow button.
  • If the users displayed in the bottom are many in number, the Host can click on the (+) button in the left side to view the Participants list. The Host can also approve and reject from this view.
  • Now the approved user's video will be live next to the Host's video. All the other users will now see both the videos.
  • Therefore if a user wants to speak, they should raise a request and wait for approval from the Host.
  • In this way, all the users can participate in the discussion and maintain orderly conversation.
