Who is the owner of an organization and how does one change the owner?

The one who created the account for an organization on Zoho chat by default becomes the owner of the organization. To view the owner of the organization, go to Admin Panel by clicking on Manage in the top bar of the interface. This option will only be visible to the administrators of the organization only.

In the admin panel, click on Organization in the left side bar. On doing so all the information about your organization including the Owner of the organization will be visible. To change the owner of the organization, click on Edit as highlighted in the image below.

This will take you to a pop up window to enter the email address of the administartor that you wish to make the Owner of the organization. Please note two points here:

  • Only the owner of an organization can transfer the ownership to someone else.
  • Only an administartor of the organization can be made the owner of an organization.

Where is my organization information listed?

In the admin panel, click on Organization in the left side bar. On doing so all the information about your organization including the Owner of the organization will be visible.

How do I edit my organization information?

In the admin panel, click on Organization in the left side bar. On doing so all the information about your organization will be visible. Click on Edit as shown in the window below.

On clicking of Edit, a window will pop up for you to edit the details. Click on Save to complete the action.
