Save the Children is an independent child rights NGO that works in 18 states in India and around the world. Around 11 million children have been benefited by their various initiatives. They work with the hardest-to-reach children – especially those unfairly excluded from the world’s progress.

Apart from running several programs, they work in tandem with numerous government agencies, civil society organizations, and communities across five core themes: health and nutrition, education, child protection, humanitarian response, and disaster risk reduction and child poverty.

For non-profit organizations such as Save the Children, it's important there is consistent communication between them and their supporters. So, when the Zoho Campaigns team got a chance to work with them, we knew we were just the right fit to help them meet their goals. Zoho Campaigns has been playing a pivotal role in their operations since August 2019 by allowing them to connect with donors and increase donations from existing ones.

Most-utilized features

To start with, it’s a user-friendly interface and has helped us create email campaigns easier and faster. Apart from creating regular campaigns and sending them to our donor list, we keep a close eye on reports to analyze the performances of our campaign. It has helped us exclusively target our most and least responsive donors with the help of the contact score feature. Based on the interactions, we have a separate 'engaged donor' list that helps us plan our strategies better.

The problems that were solved

There were a few challenges that we were facing, and Zoho Campaigns helped us solve them.

  • To start with, creating email campaigns was time-consuming. Now, with Zoho Campaigns, the entire process of creating a campaign is much more efficient.
  • Earlier, working on email campaigns required fair bit of planning due to unavailability of scheduling options. Now, using Zoho Campaigns, we can create a campaign in advance and schedule the delivery on the desired date.
  • Zoho Campaigns gives us the ability to send emails in batches with regular time intervals. Earlier, we had to send email campaigns in one go or we had to create batches manually and send them at regular time intervals. Zoho Campaigns has helped us minimize work in this aspect.
  • Follow-ups was a daunting task earlier. With the 'Chain and Child Campaign' feature, we can send follow-up emails easier.
  • With the help of contact score, we can now identify donors that are most and least responsive.
  • Reports are much easier to download and understand.

In conclusion, this child rights NGO ensures that the emails are used to the best of its ability to garner more support from well-wishers.
