Whenever a task is performed in one application, you can automate another task to be performed in another application. **Scenario 1:** Larissa is the head of a startup that sells printed materials. She wants to add a new row to her Zoho sheet, whenever a new printing material (item) is added to her Zoho Invoice account. So she creates a Zap with the trigger and action as follows: * Trigger - New Item (Zoho Invoice) * Action - Create Spreadsheet Row (Zoho Sheets) **Scenario 2:** Patricia is the Sales Manager at Zylker Corporation, a web design company. She wants all the customers that are added to her Zoho Invoice account to be added to her Zoho Campaigns account as well so that she can send them promotional emails about the latest offers. To do this, she creates a Zap with the following details: * Trigger - New Customer (Zoho Invoice) * Action - Add/Update Contact (Zoho Campaigns) ## Set up the Integration To integrate Zoho Invoice and Zapier: * Go to _Settings_ and select **Integrations**. * Select **Other Apps**. * Click **Try Now** next to _Zapier_. * You will be redirected to the Zapier site. * Sign up for a Zapier account or sign in if you already have one. * Click **Create** and select **Zaps** to create a new zap. * Click **Trigger** or **Action**. * Search for **Zoho Invoice** to add it as your trigger or action app. * Choose an event. * In the _Account_ field, click **Sign In**. * Select the domain in which your Zoho account resides. * Click **Yes, Continue to Zoho Invoice** to complete the setup. * You will be redirected to Zapier. * Click **Continue**. * Select your organization in the _Configure_ tab and click **Continue**. * Click **Test Trigger** in the _Test_ tab to complete the event setup. * Similarly configure the other events to complete the workflow. To rename, duplicate, copy and delete a zap, click the **More** icon next to the zap event and choose the desired action. ## Supported Triggers and Actions for Zoho Invoice #### Triggers Let’s have a look at some of the triggers that are supported in Zoho Invoice. * Customer Payments - Triggers when a customer pays you. * Invoice Status Change - Triggers when an invoice status is changed. * New Contact - Triggers when a new customer is created. * New Contact Person - Triggers when a new contact person is added for a customer. * New Credit Note - Triggers when a new credit note is created. * New Estimate - Triggers when a new quote is created. * New Expense - Triggers when a new expense is created. * New Item - Triggers when a new item is created. * New Project - Triggers when a new project is created. * Update Invoice - Triggers when an invoice is updated. #### Actions Let’s have a look at the actions that can be performed based on the triggers. **Create** * Create Contact Person - Creates a new contact person for a customer. * Create Credit Note - Creates a new credit note for a customer. * Create New Contact - Creates a new customer. * Create New Estimate - Creates a new quote. * Create New Invoice - Creates a new invoice. * Create New Item - Creates a new item. * Record Payment - Records payment for an Invoice. * Update Contact - Updates the customer or contact person details in Zoho Invoice. * Update Invoice - Updates the invoice details in Zoho Invoice. **Search** * Find Contact - Finds a customer. * Find Invoice - Finds an invoice. * Find Organization - Finds an organization. ## Delete a Zap When you feel that you don’t need a Zap anymore, you can delete it. Here’s how: * From the _Home_ page of Zapier, go to **Assets** on the left sidebar. * Click **Zaps** under _Assets_. * Click the **More** icon next to the zap you want to delete. * Select **Delete**. * Click **Delete Zap** to confirm the action.
