Integrate Zoho Checkout with Authorize.Net

Authorize.Net provides secure online payment processing and management services for businesses. Integrating it with Zoho Checkout lets you easily accept one-time and recurring payments from customers via cards or bank accounts.

Note: This integration is available only for users in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Global editions of Zoho Checkout.

Set Up Authorize.Net

To get started, connect your Authorize.Net account with Zoho Checkout. If you don’t have an account, you can create one and proceed with the integration. To set up:

  • Go to Settings and select Payment Gateways.
  • Click Configure next to Authorize.Net.
  • Enter the required details:
FIELDDESCRIPTION
API Login IDThe unique identifier to authenticate API requests. You can access this from Authorize.Net under Security Settings in API Key & Credentials.
Transaction KeyA secure key used alongside the API Login ID to authorize payments through Authorize.Net. You can access this from Authorize.Net under Security Settings in API Key & Credentials.
Public KeyA key to securely encrypt and send payment information from your website or app. You can access this from Authorize.Net under Security Settings in Manage Public Client Key.
CurrencyThe currency in which you want to accept payments. Authorize.Net supports US Dollars (USD), Canadian Dollars (CAD), Australian Dollars (AUD), British Pounds (GBP), Euros (EUR), and New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
  • Click Confirm.

Note: Transaction charges are applicable as per your payment gateway’s plan. Zoho does not charge any additional fees.

Collect Customer Payments

Associate Authorize.Net with Your Payment Page

Your customers can pay you through Authorize.Net if you’ve made it your organization’s default gateway or by associating it under Advanced Setup.

You can associate a payment gateway with your payment page in two ways:

During Payment Page Creation
  • Go to the Payment Pages module and create a new payment page.
  • Go to Advanced Setup and navigate to Associate Payment Gateways.
  • Check Authorize.Net and click Save & Publish.

You will be able to collect customer payments through Authorize.Net.

Edit an Existing Payment Page
  • Go to the Payment Pages module.
  • Select the payment page you want to update the payment gateway for and click the Edit icon in the top right corner.
  • Go to Advanced Setup and navigate to Associate Payment Gateways.
  • Check Authorize.Net and click Save & Publish.

Authorize.Net will be associated as a payment gateway for this payment page.

Note: If you have associated multiple gateways with your payment page, your organization’s default gateway will be used to collect customer payments.

Receive Payments from Customers

To make a payment via Authorize.Net, customers have to:

  • Enter the required details in the payment page.
  • Click the payment button (for example, Pay Now or Proceed to Pay).
  • Choose the preferred payment mode and make the payment.

Once the payment is successful, you will receive an email notification regarding the payment made by your customer. The payment details can be viewed in the Payments module. The payment will be settled in your bank account during the next payout.

Manage Authorize.Net Integration

The various actions you can perform to manage this integration are:

Mark As Default

To mark Authorize.Net as the default payment gateway for your organization:

  • Click the Settings icon and select Payment Gateways.
  • Hover over Authorize.Net and select Mark as Default.

For all payment pages you create in Zoho Checkout, you will receive customer payments through Authorize.Net.

Edit the Integration

If you would like to change the bank account, enable or disable payment methods, or update your credentials, you can edit the settings.

Note: If you generate a new public client key in Authorize.Net, make sure to update it here to avoid one-time payment failures.

To edit:

  • Click the Settings icon and select Payment Gateways.
  • Hover over Authorize.Net and select Edit.
  • Make the necessary changes and select Confirm.

The integration settings will be updated.

Remove

When you no longer want to use Authorize.Net to receive payments, you can remove the integration. Here’s how:

  • Click the Settings icon and select Payment Gateways.
  • Select Remove below Authorize.Net.
  • In the pop-up, click Yes to confirm.

The integration will be removed.
